Add New Calendar Event

OVERVIEW

A calendar event can be added using the built-in calendar tool. To add events you can follow the guide below.

Employee Training Schedule

Scenario:
Imagine you work for a medium-sized company that is committed to continuous staff development. Your company uses an LMS to deliver training courses and materials to employees. Here's how calendar events within the LMS can be useful:
  1. Course Enrollment Reminders
  2. Customizable Notifications
  3. Conflict Avoidance

Step 1: Click on the "New event" button.



Step 2: Follow the prompts to add a new event.



Note: the "type of event" you select will determine which users will be able to view that event on their calendars. 
  1. Site event: will be displayed on the calendars of all site users. 
  2. Category event: will be displayed on the calendars of all users enrolled in a course from the specified category.
  3. Course event: will be displayed on the calendars of all users enrolled in the specified course.
  4. Group event: will be displayed on the calendars of all users who are members of the specified course group.
  5. User event: will only be displayed on your personal calendar.

Once you're happy, click on "Save." Your new event will now display on your calendar.
