OVERVIEW
Pluto LMS has natively integrated with H5P. This is a free alternative to SCORM, allowing you to create over 40 interactive content types (e.g. interactive books, image hot spots, virtual tours, and interactive videos) for your learners to enjoy a dynamic and immersive learning experience.
ADD INTERACTIVE CONTENT TO YOUR COURSE
Note: Before adding a new H5P activity to your course, the interactive content you want to use should be created in or uploaded to your H5P content bank. From there it can easily be added to your course activity and will be saved for easy re-use.
Step 1: In the relevant course, click on "Edit course material."
Step 2: Under the relevant module, click on "Add course content."
Step 3: Click on the "H5P" activity.
Step 4: Give your H5P a name and optional description.
Step 5: You will be able to add content from your H5P content bank or upload existing content that you may have on your local PC.
To select a file from your content bank, follow these steps.
> Click on the "file" icon in the file picker,
> Select "Content Bank",
> Click on the H5P File that you want to use,
> Decide whether it should be copied as a new file in this course (Recommended) or linked to a H5P in another course,
> Select the file,
> Save.
You will be prompt to make the following decision,
(1) Make a copy of the file OR
(2) Link to the file
(1) "Make a copy of the file" means you want to use this question in a new course and it should be completely new question on its own.
(2) "Link to the file" means that you will then link this question to the original question (Where it was created the first time on the system, E.g. in the very first course created) - We suggest not using this option as it means that once a user accesses this question they will be linked to the very first course where this question was created (And they might not be enrolled into that course) And this can cause confusion.
So to ensure that you create a completely new question from this H5P question, make a copy of the file.
Step 6: Optionally define the activity settings for your H5P.
Once you're happy, click "Save and return to course" to return to your course home page or "Save and display" to view your H5P.
