OVERVIEW
Course content can be bulk downloaded by admins, teachers and learners as a .zip file via your web browser. This allows for the easy extraction of content from your Pluto LMS.
Note: Users with the "Site admin" role can disable this feature for learners. USE CASE EXAMPLE:
Bulk downloading course content from an Learning Management System (LMS) used for internal staff training can be advantageous in various scenarios. Here's a use case example to illustrate its benefits:
Offline Access and Customization
Scenario: Consider a large corporation that utilizes an LMS to deliver training and development courses to its employees. The organization has a diverse workforce, including employees in different locations and roles, some of whom have limited internet connectivity due to remote or field-based work.
By allowing bulk downloading of course content from the LMS, the organization can accommodate the diverse needs of its workforce, improve the accessibility of training materials, reduce reliance on real-time internet connectivity, and enhance the overall learning experience for employees.
DOWNLOAD COURSE CONTENT (ADMIN/TEACHER VIEW)
Step 1: In the relevant course, click on "Course admin" and then "Download course content."
Step 2: Confirm your download by clicking "Continue."
DOWNLOAD COURSE CONTENT (LEARNER VIEW)
Step 1: In the relevant course, right at the top of the course home page, click on "Download course content."
Step 2: Confirm your download by clicking "Download."
DISABLE CONTENT DOWNLOAD FEATURE FOR LEARNERS
Step 1: In the relevant course, click on "Course admin" and then "Edit settings."
Step 2: On the "Edit course settings" page, under "General", set "Enable download course content" to "No."
Step 3: Remember to scroll down and click "Save and display."
Learners will no longer be able to download course content.
