OVERVIEW
Video creates high engagement with students and is a powerful tool to use in your Pluto LMS courses. YouTube videos can be embedded into Pluto LMS pages.
Use Case Example:
You, as a training manager, are responsible for delivering engaging and interactive training courses to your employees. With this, you recognize the power of video as a tool for high engagement and effective learning.
With the YouTube video embedded in your LMS course, you provide your learners with a rich multimedia learning experience. You can deliver impactful training experiences that captivate your learners and drive knowledge retention and application.
For example: Demonstrating a new process, showcasing industry best practices, or featuring subject matter experts.
These videos can significantly enhance the effectiveness of your training program.
RETRIEVE THE YOUTUBE VIDEO EMBED CODE
Step 1: Get YouTube's share link at the bottom of the video.
"Share" > "Embed" > "Copy" Embed Code:
Note:
If you're using public videos, this is not applicable.
If you're pulling videos from your own account, please ensure that the privacy settings within the Youtube video are set to "Public" or "Unlisted".
YouTube blocks video sharing if it is set to private. These settings can be edited within your YouTube Studio settings at https://studio.youtube.com/.
EMBED VIDEO CODE
Step 1: In the relevant course, click on "Edit course material."
Step 2: Under the relevant module, click on "Add course content."
Step 3: Click on the "Page" resource.
Step 4: Give your video a name (1) and click on the media icon (2).
Step 5: Click on the video tab (1) and insert your video link (2).
Optionally, set your display options and other settings (3) and then click on "Insert media" (4).
Tip: A recommended display option is 700 x 700 so that YouTube will fit multiple device sizes.
Step 6: Once the video is embedded, it will appear black. That's okay. Click on "Save and display."
Your video will now be embedded similarly to the screenshot below.
