This month features a major update from Pluto LMS. We have rebuilt some of the underlying architecture of the Pluto LMS core code in order to prepare for future updates and improvements needed to continue to innovate in order to keep serving our clients with the latest global learning technologies.
Prerequisites:
In order to benefit from the new features below, you will need to be on a latest Pluto LMS pricing plan. Each feature listed below will include which plans each feature is available on.
New Features:
Duplicate Course
Available on the Company and Enterprise plans
Content Bank for H5P
Each H5P activity created within Pluto LMS now gets stored in a content bank. This allows you to:
- Easily reuse H5P content across courses
- Quickly export H5P

H5P Offline Access
Now H5P content will be able to become available offline via the Pluto LMS mobile app. Your learners can now access your H5P content without an internet connection. Note that this does not apply to embedded content which requires an online connection such as YouTube.

Bulk Download Course Content
You (as well as your learners) can now bulk download all files and pages within your course as a .zip file via your web browser. Site admin can turn off this feature for learners as well. This allows you to easily extract your content from Pluto LMS.

Easy Role View Switch
While the administration and learner view is very similar when editing courses, your course editors can now quickly switch between role views while creating content.

Competencies
You can now setup tailored learning plans with competencies on Pluto LMS. This will allow you to create and manage competencies across all your courses. These competencies can be achieved by your learners based on the criteria that you define.

LinkedIn SSO
We've added an additional "out-the-box" SSO (Single Sign On) option for LinkedIn. This will allow you to add LinkedIn as a signup or login option to your LMS instance. Your team and learners can login via their LinkedIn account to sync their Pluto LMS profile to their LinkedIn account.

Custom Machine Learning
On top of the useful "out-the-box" reports within Pluto LMS, you are now able to define and build your own custom Machine Learning models within Pluto LMS. This allows you to define your own criteria and learning analytics.

Personal Cloud Storage
Adding to the existing repositories, now you can upload files to your personal account. These files are only accessible to you (not other site users) and can be reused in selected areas of your site.

New Activity Chooser
Pluto LMS has updated its course activity chooser. You can star your favorite content for quick selection going forward.

Now you can add multiple organisation payment accounts to your site.

This update improves the way branch automation is performed. Now you can select which branches you wish to define automation rules for.

Depreciations:
Note: If you are a current Client of Pluto LMS using version 1, then upgrading to Pluto LMS 2.0 will have some feature depreciations.
The following features will be removed upon upgrade to Pluto LMS 2.0:
PayFast Payment Integration
This is a temporary depreciation. We are waiting for our 3rd party partners (PayFast) to make some updates on their end before we can offer native payments through this processor.
Authroize.Net Payment Integration
We are no longer supporting this integration as it is not used by our Clients.
Skype Integration
We are no longer supporting this integration as it is not used by our Clients.
Reengagement Activity
This activity is being depreciated.
Activity Completion Interface Updated
Activities will now have visual tags below them to better describe the completion requirements to the learner.
Any Bespoke Visual Changes Made to Your LMS
Any Bespoke Visual Changes Made to Your LMS
If we made visual updates to your LMS on request, these may be depreciated depending on the changes made.
