Search User Action

OVERVIEW

The "Search User" action searches for a user in your Pluto LMS based on information provided in the trigger. This action typically serves as the first action in a workflow as Zapier can now use the user information to perform a second action, e.g. enrolling that user to a course, adding them to a course group, etc.

SETTING UP A "SEARCH USER" ACTION

Step 1: Set up your trigger, e.g. "New Row in Microsoft Excel."

Note: The trigger will need to provide the username or email address of the user/s that your zap needs to search for in your Pluto LMS.

Step 2: Select (1) Pluto LMS as your action app and (2) "Search User" as your action event, then (3) choose your connected Pluto LMS account from the drop-down list.

Step 3: To set up your action, (1) select the data source that will provide the username/email address of users that your zap will search for in your Pluto LMS and (2) decide whether or not to skip the subsequent actions of your zap if no matching user is found in your Pluto LMS.

You can now click on "Continue", proceed to test your action and define what your zap should do with the searched for users by adding subsequent action steps for Pluto LMS or other apps.
