Search User Segment Action

OVERVIEW

The "Search User Segment" action searches for an existing user segment in your Pluto LMS based on information provided in the trigger. This action typically serves as the first action in a workflow as Zapier can now use the user segment information to perform a second action, e.g. adding users to that user segment, etc.

SETTING UP A "SEARCH USER SEGMENT" ACTION

Step 1: Set up your trigger, e.g. "New Row in Microsoft Excel."

Note: The trigger may need to provide the user segment name of the existing user segment/s for which your zap must search in your Pluto LMS.

Step 2: Select (1) Pluto LMS as your action app and (2) "Search User Segment" as your action event, then (3) choose your connected Pluto LMS account from the drop-down list.

Step 3: To set up your action, (1) enter the user segment name of the user segment that your zap must search for in your Pluto LMS and (2) decide whether or not to skip the subsequent actions of your zap if no matching user segment is found in your Pluto LMS.

Note: For a more dynamic zap (that can search for one of a variety of existing user segments) you can select the corresponding field from your trigger data source that will provide the user segment name of the existing user segment/s for which your zap must search in your Pluto LMS.

You can now click on "Continue", proceed to test your action and define what your zap should do with the searched for user segment/s by adding subsequent action steps for Pluto LMS or other apps.
