Suspend User Account

Suspend User Account

OVERVIEW

A user's access to your Pluto LMS site can be temporarily disabled by suspending their accounts and changing their authentication method.

Use Case Example:

Imagine you as a training manager using Pluto LMS and you have a situation where a group of employees have violated the company's code of conduct and their access to the platform needs to be temporarily suspended.
This tool empowers training managers to enforce disciplinary actions and maintain a secure learning environment within their organization.

This action immediately restricts their access to the platform, ensuring they cannot log in or participate in any courses or activities.
Additionally, you have the option to change their authentication method, adding an extra layer of security.
Once the issue is resolved, you can easily re-enable their access by unsuspending their accounts and adjusting their authentication settings accordingly.

SUSPEND USER ACCOUNT

Step 1: Click on "Site admin", then "Users management", followed by "View all site users."

Step 2: Optionally filter or search for the user whose account you wish to suspend, then click the eye icon (  ) to suspend the account.

Note: You can always re-enable site access for suspended user accounts here by un-clicking the eye icon.

CHANGE USER AUTHENTICATION METHOD

This is step 2 in ensuring users to not have access to the platform after being suspended (As in step 1).

Step 1: Navigate to user profile,

Either via Site admin > User management > View all site Users > Selecting the applicable profile.

OR
Via the "Search Tab."

Step 2: Go to the "Details" tab within the profile and say "Edit profile" > Change the user authentication method (1) and Tick the "Suspended" Box,

Once these steps were implemented the users will no longer be able to access the platform unless you make the necessary changes for them to have access again (Unsuspend them and change their authentication method).

NOTE: This can be done in bulk as well
