Upload to Personal Cloud

OVERVIEW

Personal cloud storage in an LMS refers to a dedicated online storage space provided to each user within the Learning Management System (LMS). It allows individuals to securely store, manage, and access their learning materials, documents, and resources from any internet-connected device. Personal cloud storage within an LMS ensures that users have a private and customizable repository for their training materials, facilitating convenient access, collaboration, and organization of learning resources tailored to their specific training needs and preferences. This feature promotes a more efficient and personalized learning experience for each user within the LMS environment.
USE CASE EXAMPLE:

Company XYZ, a multinational corporation, has recently implemented a comprehensive internal training program for its employees. The training program includes various courses, modules, and resources to enhance the skills and knowledge of the staff members. To facilitate seamless access to learning materials and encourage collaborative learning, the company integrates personal cloud storage within its LMS. Here's how it benefits their internal staff training:

Easy Access to Learning Materials: Each employee is provided with a designated personal cloud storage space within the LMS, allowing them to upload, store, and access learning materials such as training modules, presentations, and relevant documents from any location and device. This accessibility ensures that employees can engage with the content at their convenience, even outside the office premises.
  1. Collaborative Learning and Knowledge Sharing
  2. Seamless Integration with Training Assignments
  3. Data Security and Backup
  4. Customizable Learning Experience
By integrating personal cloud storage into their LMS, Company XYZ significantly enhances the accessibility, collaboration, security, and customization of their internal staff training program, leading to a more efficient and engaging learning experience for all employees.

HOW TO UPLOAD FILES TO YOUR PERSONAL CLOUD STORAGE

You can upload files to your personal account. These files will only be accessible to you and can be reused in other areas of the site.

Step 1: On your Dashboard, scroll down and click on "Manage Personal Cloud..."

Step 2: Here you can (1) select your preferred page view, (2) access the file picker, create new folders, or (3) drag and drop files to upload to your personal cloud.

Once you're happy, click "Save changes." Your private files will now be accessible within your personal cloud - which will be available as a source within the "File picker" when selecting files to use within a course.
