Search Course Grade Items for User Action

OVERVIEW

The "Search Course Grade Items for User" action searches for the course grade items for a user for a specified course in your Pluto LMS based on information provided in the trigger. 

SETTING UP A "SEARCH COURSE GRADE ITEMS FOR USER" ACTION

Step 1: Set up your trigger, e.g. "New Row in Microsoft Excel."



Note: The trigger may need to provide the Course ID of the course in which your zap must search for the course grade items for users as well as the User IDs of those users. If your trigger does not provide this information, you may need to add and additional action step before the "Search Activity Completion Status of User" action, e.g. "Search Course" or "Search User" in your Pluto LMS.

Step 2: Select (1) Pluto LMS as your action app and (2) "Search Course Grade Items for User" as your action event, then (3) choose your connected Pluto LMS account from the drop-down list.

Step 3: To set up your action, (1) select or manually enter the the Course ID of the course in which your zap must search for the course grade items for users and (2) select the corresponding field from your trigger data source (or from a previous action step) that will provide the User IDs of those users. Finally, (3) decide whether or not to skip the subsequent actions of your zap if no matching course grade items are found in your Pluto LMS.

Note: For a more dynamic zap (that can search for the course grade items for users in a variety of courses) you can select the corresponding field from your trigger data source that will provide the Course ID of the existing courses in your Pluto LMS.



You can now scroll down and click on "Continue" to proceed to test your action and switch on your zap or add additional action steps.
