Add URL Links

OVERVIEW

A URL is a specific address that identifies the location of a resource on the internet. It is a string of characters that provides a way to access a particular webpage, file, or resource on the Web.

USE CASE EXAMPLE:

In a corporate training program focused on digital marketing, the training manager wants to provide learners with additional resources and references to enhance their learning experience. One valuable resource is a blog post from a renowned marketing expert that delves into the latest industry trends.

By adding the URL link Expert Insights: Current Marketing Trends the users can seamlessly refer to the blog post in a new window or a pop-up.

ADD URL LINKS TO YOUR COURSE

Step 1: In the relevant course, click on "Edit course material."

Step 2: Under the relevant module, click on "Add course content."

Step 3: Click on the "URL" activity.

Step 4: Give your URL link a name and paste the link in the space provided for the "External URL" field.

Additionally, you can customize the way your URL link will appear to users and define other settings such as restrictions.

Then click "Save and display" once you're done.

Your URL link will then be displayed similarly to the screenshot below.
