Update Existing User Action

OVERVIEW

The "Update Existing User" action updates the profile details of an existing user in your Pluto LMS based on information provided in the trigger.

SETTING UP AN "UPDATE EXISTING USER" ACTION

Step 1: Set up your trigger, e.g. "New Row in Microsoft Excel."



Note: The trigger will need to provide the user information that your zap needs to update for the specified users in your Pluto LMS and the User IDs of those users. The following profile fields can be updated:
  1. first name
  2. last name 
  3. email address
  4. specified custom profile field 
  5. city
  6. country

Step 2: Select (1) Pluto LMS as your action app and (2) "Update Existing User" as your action event, then (3) choose your connected Pluto LMS account from the drop-down list. 




Step 3: To set up your action, select the corresponding fields from your trigger data source that will provide the User IDs, first names (current/updated), last names (current/updated) and email addresses (current/updated) of the users that your zap must update in your Pluto LMS. In addition to these required fields, you can either manually enter or select from the trigger data source the updated information for the additional profile fields. 




You can now scroll down and click on "Continue" to proceed to test your action and switch on your zap or add additional action steps.
